A lot of businesses within our industry will offer to build you your own website and help you by providing you with SEO tools and marketing advice to attract potential customers. Many of them will charge for this up to $30,000.
At Yogo we believe we can make it a lot easier than this. We invite you to use our website and take advantage of the SEO and traffic that we already bring to our website.
This means that all you have to concentrate on is running your business.
To do this you need to answer the following 3 things:
- Is there a market for an Offline Dating event in your area?
- Is there a suitable location to host this event?
- Can you organise, market and host your event?

We are happy to speak to potential venues for you and also work with you to create your own brand for your events.
Once that is done we will list your event on our website which will mean anybody searching for an event on the site will immediately see your new event and will be able to purchase tickets through our site.
Running your speed dating event
On average 20 Girls and 20 Boys purchase tickets to attend your event. Each Girl/Boy will date one another for approximately 3 minutes then moves on to the next date.
Throughout the evening all attendees note down who they like on score cards.
When the event is over attendees log on at home or at the office and rate each person they dated one of 3 options YES/NO/FRIEND.
Our special Yogo system then matches all Yes's and Friends and informs the attendees whether they have made successful matches and who they are.
Each Attendee will have already registered on the site to purchase a ticket so will have a basic profile which will contain information which is passed on to their yes matches.
How does Yogo make money out of this?
For every ticket you sell to your event Yogo will take a % commission. The more events that you run over time the lower this commission rate will become.
We will never charge you upfront fees and the money we make is purely based on the performance of your business. This means that it is constantly in our interest to help you grow your business.
How much money can I potentially make?
As with anything it is difficult to say exactly how much money you will make - it depends on how many people come to your events and how much offline marketing you do.
However, some example figures are shown in the example below.
If you managed to run 1 event per week in the UK with 40 attendees at 20GBP the numbers would look like this:
Revenue = 800GBP (40ppl * 20GBP)
Costs
Website Advertising = 0
Venue = 0
Marketing = 100GBP (Flyering/ Private Advertisement)
Yogo Commission = 240GBP (30% of Total Revenue - this is for example and wil depend on the level of services you take from us)
Your Profit = 460GBP per week.
So..
If you ran 2 events per month your yearly profit would be = 9,880 GBP
If you ran 4 events per month your yearly profit would be = 19,760 GBP
How much time does this take?
An event takes approximately 2hrs to run on the night once you are up and running we expect you to take no longer than an addition 2-3 hours a week to organise your ticket sales and fill spaces. Some event runners fill their nights so quickly they spend no time organising! This is where we want you to be ;)
Finally
At Yogo we will always encourage you to try and run as many events as you think is possible.
You can log into our Events Management system from anywhere so even if you are abroad or on the go you can keep track of ticket sales and how much money you are making!
